Shannon’s fitness career grew from her love of training and wanting to share with others the benefits of physical activity.  As a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor, she has motivated clients and class participants for 5 years.  Shannon’s other specialty certifications include Resist-a-Ball C.O.R.E Trainer and Sport Movement Specialist.  A Physique Competitor, Shannon placed 2nd and 3rd in Fitness and Bikini Model categories.  Her experience includes training clients preparing for physical fitness testing, physique competition and various sports.  Shannon had the fortunate opportunity to gain invaluable experience training with some of North America’s top athletes within her specialty fields.

Fifteen years in Developmental Services, Shannon enjoyed implementing Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Programs to assist clients with mobility and independence.  Constantly improving her knowledge and skills, Shannon continues her fitness education part-time at Humber College.  She is dedicated to teaching others not only the physical but also the psychological benefits of exercise and is passionate about getting beginners “hooked” on fitness.

Shannon mountain bikes, snowshoes and runs hills and trails.  By committing to and training for competitive events, she keeps focused on a goal and stays motivated.
